Case Study: Sourcing the perfect windows for a 24-bed new build
We were asked to find a window manufacturer for this 24-bed new build construction project. After discussing what was required and the specification, we researched different solutions and suppliers and decided on a shortlist based on the best windows and window products for the jobs.
We then obtained some quotes, then looked at the benefits of each and decided on a supplier.
We arranged for the supplier to visit with a sample of the window they would supply. A schedule was agreed, and details confirmed.
Our clients were very happy with the chosen product, which adds a sleek modern appeal to this large building. The project was delivered on time, with a cost saving of approximately 20% on pre-start budgeted figures.
Case Study: Finding the best timber frame solution for a Passivhaus project
One of our partners asked us if we could assist one of their clients with a timber frame solution for a Passivhaus build.
Initially, we called the client and discussed the project and what was required. We then obtained the drawings and put together some budget cost with our timber frame partner.
The client wanted to explore their options for upgrading the wall build up to meet Passivhaus standards, so we were able to support by providing new wall build details and costs. This was agreed and the schedule set.
Engineering drawings were designed and produced and the build programme set. The project included design, manufacture and installation of the timber frame. Having the complete solution under one roof streamlines points of contact for our client, and makes the entire process that bit smoother.
Timber frame solutions can save on time and labour, reduce weather impact, as well as reducing the carbon footprint and supporting the overall sustainability of the build.
Case Study: Securing a new timber frame supplier for 11 premium homes
We were contacted by a client who was interested in exploring a new timber frame supplier for their next development project. We introduced them to a trusted timber frame manufacturer, who following a conversation and assessing plans, agreed to issue budget costs.
We then arrange for the construction client to visit the manufacturer's offices, and the factory where the timber frames were made. The client was sufficiently impressed and excited to move forward; following a few amends, designs, schedules and costs were agreed.
The project for 11 beautifully-designed properties in a charming Devon village was set in motion. This project had really interesting shapes - rounds, angles and squares - all of which can be produced with timber frame construction.
With a GDV of over £13million, this large construction project was delivered on time and to budget. Following this success, another project was placed with the same client.
Great communication was the key, alongside delivering on promises, and of course a quality product.
